COTFONE works towards addressing the hindrances to quality education and retention of vulnerable and multi barriers children and youth in school up to completion level. Together with schools that are network members, we ensure that we alter the learning environment, complement scholastic materials and school fees but also educate the communities about the importance of education
- Provided uniforms, food, medical care, school fees, and scholastic materials for 289 OVCs and teaching materials to teachers.
- Vocational skills training; 15 Youth were trained in recycling used truck tyres into extra strong sandals; 289 children under 18 were trained in weaving, beehive making, rope making, vegetable growing, etc.
- Renovated the block of four classrooms into seven classrooms & sanitary facilities including a block of four toilet stances and four bathrooms.
Running of community education facilities: Kiwangala ECD center, primary school, and community library.
