Among our core businesses of addressing the obstacles that prevent marginalized and vulnerable individuals from leading healthy and self-reliant lives is the Defending and protecting the Human Rights including the Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights(SRHR) which we believe are attained at birth and everyone must enjoy them. Our Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights work targets Adolescents, Young people and adults. We strive for Universal access to Sexual and Reproductive health and Rights accurate information, Ensure universal access to sexual and reproductive health-care services, including for family planning, information and education, and the integration of reproductive health into national strategies and programmes. Our interventions include;
- Sexuality Education in our partner schools
- Sensitization of all our beneficiaries on SRHR
- Menstrual health management including supporting beneficiaries to access pads and remodeling sanitary facilities to include toilet stances, bathrooms and proper waste disposal
- Anti-AIDS & Advocacy Club initiatives where we run weekly sensitization on prevention and protection against HIV and AIDS and human rights
- Establishment and training of sanitation committees on their roles and responsibilities in schools and communities
- MenCare/Fatherhood interventions and in-country policy advocacy initiatives for engaging men in violence prevention and positive parenting
- Documentation of cases of Child Rights Violations working through community monitors,
- Following up child rights violation cases through court sessions
- Child Protection Media Advocacy (Online, Radio and TV)
- Girls centered interventions in greater Masaka including fishing communities off the shores and islands of Lake Victoria (the hotspot that have a high risk of early pregnancies and child
- Advocacy and lobbying for integration of gender transformative approach partner districts’ development plans.
